Jupyterhub is a multi-user, web-based interactive development environment for notebooks, code, and data. Its underlying technology allows students to develop code or notebooks online through a web interface hosted inside individual Linux containers in a Kubernetes cluster. The Department has deployed a centralized instance of Jupyterhub that is available through its web servers.
A pre-configured environment with access to Ubuntu 20.04, Python, C++, Java 16, R, Julia and an assortment of datascience development libraries (numpy, matplot, seaborn, scipy) have been deployed with access to a web terminal and Web GUI text editors.
